Tonfa begin their life as a dull old block of wood. Here you see some blanks of ebony, lignum vitae, elm, oak and cherry. Not very impressive are they, but wait.

Our expert woodcrafter, disguised here for security reasons (.... well not really, but if you ever got ebony dust up your nose you'd know why he's wearing a mask) is turning a tonfa body now.

The chips really fly when he gets going. 

And here's the result, a tonfa body in cherry ready to be trimmed and fitted with a handle.

As you can see from our little tour of the factory, these items are made one at a time when you order them. That means that custom work is easy for us, specify your length, where you want the handle placed, how many decorative grooves you want and we'll do it for you. If we don't have to re-tool the factory we'll even do it for nothing.
